Eilean Mor is surrounded by beautiful countryside, a spectacular sea loch and an abundance of wildlife. It's elevated location assures you a magnificent panoramic view of it all. Close by at the shores of Loch Dunvegan you will see seal colonies bask in the sun. If you're into bird watching, take position in the conservatory with your binoculars and witness Gannets, Herons, Oystercatchers, Buzzards and maybe if you're lucky you can spot a couple of Eagles.

Every now and then the loch is visited by dolphins and you can see them tumbling about. A mere 10 minute drive from the cottage you will find Neist Point - a very scenic spot and a good place for spotting Minky whales in summer time.

More towards the south east you will have panoramic views over the Cuillin mountain ridge. If you're into serious hiking this is a trip worth making. The drive to Sligachan - a popular place to start your walk - will take about 25 minutes.
