From the Skye bridge take the roundabout right, towards Dunvegan. This is the A87. Follow the road until you reach Sligachan. Just past the bridge turn left onto the A863. This road leads straight to Dunvegan.

Just before entering Dunvegan, take a left on the B884 towards Glendale. Follow the road with a sharp right bend (left leads towards Orbost). Carry on on the B884.You will pass the hamlets of Skinidin and Colbost. The road winds with sharp bends through hills. Roughly half way between Skinidin and Glendale you will pass the white building of Skye Silver on your right.

When you approach Glendale you will see the Community Hall on your left just past the river. Take the first left, past the Community Hall into Holmisdale (you will pass the Glendale shop and Post Office on your right). Follow this road through the glen for about one mile until you reach River Cottage on your right. Please drive carefully as the road is windy and is narrow.
